SonicWALL Continues to Secure Distributed Organizations From SMB to Enterprise
Posted: Fri Aug 28, 2009 09:08:00 AM

SonicWALL, a leading secure network infrastructure company, today announced market acceptance in key vertical markets for its Unified Threat Management solutions, including the NSA, TZ Series and NSA E-Class appliances. As market pressures force businesses - particularly small and medium-sized organizations - to re-evaluate their security needs and buying cycles, more and more customers are looking to SonicWALL to enable fully integrated corporate network protection.

With Infonetics Research predicting that revenue for the network security appliance and software industry to increase by 15 percent by the first quarter of 2010, SonicWALL is well placed to capitalize on this growth with its early investment in UTM devices. Businesses need to protect the corporate environment by ensuring all access points and threat management tools are safeguarding data and blocking malicious activity. These requirements can be achieved in an efficient and cost-effective manner through the use of SonicWALL's solutions.

"SonicWALL gave us all we wanted at a great price point, and with great service and support," said Phil Doi, Network Engineer, Medical Graphics Corporation. "Cisco was too expensive, roughly 40 percent more than the similar SonicWALL solution and with lower performance specs. Not only was it less expensive and easier to setup, but because SonicWALL's performance ensured our throughput, we were able to apply the SonicWALL Unified Threat Management and Gateway Security Suite. This gives us Web filtering, malware protection, and intrusion detection, and reporting capabilities. That is incredibly important for us as a public health-industry company needing to comply with regulations like HIPAA and SOX."

"Our consolidation strategy and strong focus on providing businesses with an expanded array of solutions is paying off," said Matt Medeiros, CEO of SonicWALL. "Despite current market conditions we're seeing business momentum in key vertical market segments from customers such as Medical Graphics Corporation in the public health sector, Success Charters in the education sector and Riverside Public Library in the government sector. Our approach to business efficiency has meant we've been able to deliver products that really help customers secure and protect their environments in a wide range of market segments."
